On this date, April 24th Margo was reading in the book of Mark 11:12-25 titled "Jesus Clears the Temple" and in II Corinthians 4:1-7 titled "Treasure in Jars of Clay".
These are the verses Margo underlined in the passage in Mark, Jesus speaking:
"...24:Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25:And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."
This is the verse Margo underlined in the passage in II Corinthians:
"4:The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."
These are the sentences Margo underlined in the commentary on the passage in II Corinthians:
"...Though we are weak, God uses us to spread his Good News and gives us power to do his work. Knowing that the power is his, not ours, keeps us from pride and motivates us to keep daily contact with God, our power source. Our responsibility is to let people see God through us."
