On this date, April 19th Margo was reading in the book of Mark 10:13-16 titled "Jesus and the Little Children" and in II Corinthians 2:1-4 titled "Paul's Sorrowful Letter".
This is the sentence Margo underlined in the commentary on the passage in the gospel of Mark:
"...But Jesus reverses this whole conception of position and greatness by showing that the kingdom of God belongs to those who have a childlike trust in God, not a confident trust in their own greatness. To become great in the kingdom of God, one must become the servant of all."
This is the sentence Margo underlined in the commentary on the passage in II Corinthians:
"...Proverbs 27:6 says that "The kisses of an enemy may be profuse, but faithful are the wounds of a friend." Sometimes our friends make choices that we know are wrong. If we ignore their behavior and let them continue, we aren't showing love to them. Love means honestly sharing our concerns with those we love. When we don't move to help, we show that we are more concerned about what will happen to us than what will happen to them."
